Our Dominican 70% chocolate bar infused with Rishi Teas' Masala Chai features an exotic spice filled elegant chocolate.  The chai tea is stone ground into the chocolate over 3 days to develop depth of flavor that is unapologetically spicy yet balanced.

Literally "mixed spiced tea," Masala Chai is a classic style of black tea blended with traditional spices native to South and Southeast Asia. The tea base consists of a robust and malty Assam balanced with, lively Orange Pekoe from northern Thailand. The chocolate emphasizes zesty ginger and fragrant cardamom with the melted sweetness of Saigon cinnamon.

Origin: Oko Caribe, Dominican Republic

Tasting notes: Aromatic Guatemalan cardamom, hot and citrusy ginger and sweet cinnamon, with accents of pungent cracked black pepper and fragrant cloves

Do you make the chocolate by hand?

Yes. Once the beans arrive at Tabal Chocolates we sort, roast, crack and winnow, grid, conch or aerate, temper, pour into molds, then wrap each bar by hand.

Where do you get the cocoa beans?

We get the beans through our communities in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Columbia, Nicaragua, and Peru.

Do you do wholesale?

Yes. We do.
